Here is one of Clark's man-doll and Dali doll

Notorious

He loves to sleep

Dali loves car rides (really she hates them). Sedatives are great.

He looks like a lion.

A dash of Asian in this one.
Sleeping with his daddy
More sleep

The Fantastic Mr. Fox

Friday, June 19, 2009

Clark is now over 4 weeks old, so we thought it would be time for more pictures.  He has already grown and changed so much, it's amazing.  Being a parent is awesome!

Clark's favorite past time over the last month has been sleeping, so we have many images of this great American sport.

Our amazingly creative friend Bethany made the cutest little man doll for Clark; he already loves it.  Our other amazing friends the Binghams gave Clark his very first hoodie which is slightly too large but ridiculously adorable.  It's been well used during the month of June because Rexburg has had a Monsoon.  At least we will be prepared to move to Oregon in the fall.

This last picture is the very best because Dave captured Clark's first non-gas smile.  Dave was getting all sorts of cute faces out of Clark the other day and we are so excited for this spectical to become more common.

Big Time Update: Must Read

After much anticipation, we would like to introduce our new addition to the family, EVERETT CLARK ALEXANDER!  We apologize for not getting these pictures in sooner, but here's a few:

Here's one of Clark just minutes after his journey from the belly.

Here he is taking his first bath.

Now he's opening his eyes a lot and getting used to the outside world.

It has been a joy having him around.  He was born 8 pounds 5 ounces and 21 inches long on Wednesday, May 20th 2009 at 9:44 a.m.  The labor lasted about 12 hours.  After being told to wait to be induced multiple times on Tuesday, we finally went in that night around 9.  The doctor broke Shauna's water at 10, and we just chilled for a while until the nurse added some plutocen to Shauna's iv at around 2 a.m.  Then the contractions started coming hard.  It wasn't until 7 the next morning that Shauna got the precious epidural that the pain from the contractions went away.  Surprisingly, the nurse gave the go for Shauna to start pushing only an hour later.  We pushed for about an hour and a half until the head crowned, and then the nurse called for the doctor.  Fifteen minutes after the doctor arrived, Clark was born.  This was an amazing experience.  At least it was for me.  Shauna will have to tell her side of the story later.  Shauna's recovery is going great.  She went to church today and has been walking all over the place like nothing has happened to her.  Clark is also doing great and is just eating and sleeping away.
